secondlife - search and rescue | SAR | S+R

The road to becoming a qualified Search and Rescue (s+r) aircraft commander, flight navigator, or spotter is a long one. Anyone can become a pilot with practice but only a few will reach the qualification of SL-SAR pilot. A combination of low altitude flying at often reduced airspeeds, limited fuel, and near gross weight aircraft configurations - Not to mention the mission induced stress and uncertain environmental conditions, all combine to require a high degree of pilot skill and experience.

our most freqently visited airport in talakin, run by the charming tegen barzane, has got a really nice installation:

a s+r helicopter rezz pad. the helis are branded as tegatti, and do not have a serial number up to now. our internal codename is 'Franziska'. hardy and i had a ride with franziska...

started a new page for our pilots. i collect information about parcels that make flying not so easy, or harm vehicles trying to get along.

this one goes out to all our pilots: just add information about frauded parcels in that story, in order to get a detailled overview where to go, and where not.

when it comes to flying in secondlife, one has to remember some few ol' things.

- never go above 4000m
- watch that sim border crossings
- dont attach trash to your ava (shiny prim hair e.g)
- AVOID no-entry parcels

well. from time to time that no-entry banlines catch you, and until tegen barzane has finished her banline warning system we have to take care.

today something strango happened. i went out to do a little installation inspired by hardy, when a god damn f***g zombie suddenly stood in front of me with a grenade launcher locked and loaded. maybe this is because i had too much absinth the day before or something really is odd in ober.
havent been there for a longer term, maybe they got this disease going on that spreads from the 'i am legend' sims...
